Silky's Castle
Do you sit at your computer too long?

Do you walk through a jungle to get to your desk?

Have you said,  "It'll be there tomorrow"
        or
"This is my time for me"
        or
"It's the kids' fault this house is a mess"                 or
"Oh my goodness I have to get a LIFE!!                 or
any other excuse for the mess around you, so that you can spend more time here on the computer?

WOW!!!    You really said those things huh?  hmmmmm

hehehe  well don't feel alone...

You can cry,  jump up and down, yell at the kids, pout and even throw the computer in the garbage can...(yeah right)

WELL... let me tell you about something that happened one day that gave me an idea for getting things done and losing myself here on the computer at the same time!!     nope  I didn't hire a domestic engineer..lol  (i'd be too embarassed)   and no my kids haven't grown up yet....( Do they ever?)  Here's the story:

One Saturday,  as usual,  I was sitting here at my computer just chatting away on ICQ with a friend I had met on Mplayer.   I had walked to the kitchen to get something to drink and I looked around at my home....OMG!  I wanted to cry...but as usual, I just turned and came back to my desk where i continued talking to my friend...I told her how horrible my house looked and how I knew I had to do something about it... well...she typed back  how hers was the same way....Neither of us wanted to turn off the computer and go do what we should...so we decided to name a task that needed to be done,  give each other a certain number of minutes to complete that task and race back here to talk some more....WELL....omg it was contagious!   It became a game and another friend joined in doing her house.. Within a couple of hours,  we were all exhausted and happy at the same time...

WE HAD DONE IT!!!!  IT WASN'T PERFECT, BUT OMG IT FELT GOOD TO WALK THROUGH THE HOUSE AND I MYSELF EVEN TOOK THE BOARDS OFF THE FRONT DOOR SO I COULD ACTUALLY LET COMPANY IN WITHOUT HIDING MY FACE!

We shared ideas and solutions to getting things done and we laughed to hear each others horror stories...lol

So Now my Home is my castle but my computer is still my therapist...
